The Digital Innovation Pavilion (DIP) at COP29: Showcasing the Future of Climate Tech and Sustainability

Baku, Azerbaijan – November 2024 – The Digital Innovation Pavilion (DIP) is returning for COP29, continuing its mission as a premier space to showcase climate technology and innovation at the world’s most important climate forum, the UN Climate Change Framework Convention – Conference of the Parties (COP). Hosting more than 50 events throughout two weeks, the pavilion will be the central hub, where global digital innovators converge with the high-level climate community to spotlight the transformative potential of emerging technologies in implementing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Agreement.

A Leading Stage for Climate Innovation

Hosted annually in the Blue Zone by UNFCCC observer organizations IAAI GloCha, Climate Chain Coalition, and Evercity. This year, the DIP is proud to have the HBAR Foundation as a co-host, continuing its support for the third consecutive year, alongside SAP, KPMG, and Afrexim Bank. The comprehensive two-week program will feature breakthrough announcements, panels, workshops, awards, TED talks, and other sessions. Topics will include finance and impact investing, climate technology, energy transitions, artificial intelligence (AI), biodiversity, youth engagement, culture and tailored solutions for Africa and the blue economy.

Empowering Global Collaboration

The DIP serves as a bridge for connecting with global climate innovators, including members of the UNFCCC Climate Change Global Innovation Hub, UNEP Early Warning and Data Analytics Branch, UN Geospatial Network, UN Habitat, Race to Zero, UNIDO GCIP, HUB Culture, and Green Accelerator. Notable contributions include the involvement of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency of Azerbaijan and Planet 2050.
