Background
COP26, ACE, ACE_AT, IAAI & ECOS: https://unfccc.int/news/action-for-climate-empowerment-new-drive-for-society-wide-climate-action
Why Milan?: Italian COP26 co-presidency Pre-COP youth event in Milan and All4Climate campaign context
DigitalArt4Climate: resource mobilization innovation for ACE, spin-off initiative of ACE_AT project – rooted also in the Digital Innovation Community in the context of the UNFCCC process – and DA4C beneficiaries.
With the event we are building a new narrative of hope and collaboration in light of the climate crisis. The event title provides a thematic framework: The Storm, the Haven and the Angel (themes that are also guiding the DigitalArt4Climate art competition). The Storm: uncertainties and fears in a rapidly changing world. The Haven: people/communities joining hands towards mastering the climate crisis and The Angel: the individual global citizen as the centre of a value and cultural shift towards empathy, solidarity, who creates with his/her individual climate action legacy (documented/certified with digital badges) the foundation for a good life for all.

About the Action for Climate Empowerment Innovation Project ACE_AT:
Action for Climate Empowerment (ACE) is a term adopted by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) to denote work under Article 6 of the Convention (1992) and Article 12 of the Paris Agreement (2015). The over-arching goal of ACE is to empower all members of society to engage in climate action, through education, training, public awareness, public participation, public access to information, and international cooperation on these issues. (source: https://unfccc.int/topics/education-youth/the-big-picture/what-is-action-for-climate-empowerment)
The Project ACE_AT is a collaborative global effort towards strengthening Action for Climate Empowerment (ACE) within and beyond the UNFCCC process. The goal is to empower all members of society to engage in Climate Action and to change the perception on ACE.
The main task of the non-party stakeholder partners of ACE_AT IAAI & ECOS is to develop the plan for a self-sustaining ACE non-Party stakeholders support structure/office (potentially in the institutional setting of a quasi-international Organization as offered by Austrian legal system: https://www.bmeia.gv.at/en/european-foreign-policy/international-organisations-in-austria/ngos-and-quasi-international-organizations/) with a corresponding business plan, resource mobilization innovation and digital tools and a digital global ACE platform (more information: https://action4climate.support/2021/03/29/ace_at-rethinking-and-reorganizing-action-for-climate-empowerment-ace/)
About DigitalArt4Climate: DigitalArt4Climate is a multi-stakeholder partnership initiative which uses blockchain technology to turn art into digital assets or NFTs, which can be collected and traded, thus opening up a socio-technological innovation space which helps to unlock extraordinary potential for resource mobilization and climate empowerment, which is being used to enable realization of youth focused ACE programs of IAAI GloCha and UN Habitat. https://digitalart4climate.space/ |
